The annual TXF Global took place from 12th to 14th June 2019, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin. For three days, 850 guests excitedly exchanged views on exports, agency, and project financing. Jessica Stang represented the Germany Africa Business Forum (GABF) as a speaker on the panel “To the beat of the drum: Mapping Africa’s infrastructure and energy demands”. Moderated by Katrin Eich (Global Head Export Finance – Commerzbank), the GABF discussed together with Simone Andrae (CEO – Andrae Project Finance GmbH), Nabil Jijakli (Group Deputy CEO – Credendo), and Dr. Ernst Röder Messell (Head of Task Force: Africa Business Network – Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy) the potential of the African market. The audience was closely involved in the interactive panel and talked about potential financing options. The GABF encourages medium-sized companies to invest in the African market and involve the local population in these investments.
