Linda Mabhena-Olagunju

Founder and MD @ DLO Energy Resources Group

Linda Mabhena-Olagunju is the Founder and Managing Director of DLO Energy Resources Group (Pty) Ltd., a wholly black female owned independent power producer with a portfolio of wind and solar energy projects in South Africa. The company is currently building one of Africa’s largest wind farms. Its projects were also awarded “Excellent Projects in 2014” by the South African Wind Energy Association in November 2014.

In 2016 Mabhena-Olagunju was recognized as the Young Business Leader for Southern Africa by the CNBC All Africa Business Leaders Awards. In the same year she was recognized as the overall winner of the ELLE Boss awards. In 2015 she was recognized as the Best Emerging Entrepreneur by Forbes Women Africa and her company DLO was also awarded Most Innovative Black Business by the Black Business Quarterly. Linda has been featured on the front cover of Forbes Africa and has been recognized by ESI as one of the 50 Most Influential People in the African Power Sector. In 2014 Linda was featured on Oprah’s Power List among the 20 most powerful women in Africa. She is a WEF Global Shaper and sits as a trustee for Energy4Access, an NGO focused on providing access to clean energy in Africa.

Linda is a member of the ministerial advisory committee charged with advising the Minister of Energy in South Africa and holds an LLB from UCT and an LLM from the University of Aberdeen. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
